Honoring the top five business incubators at the national level.

The Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-Enterprises, Mr. Nourredine Ouadah, took part in the opening of the first edition of the Salon of Innovative Research Products carried out within the framework of the National Research Programs (PNR). The event was held today, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Sidi Abdellah Scientific and Technological Hub, and was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of the Minister of the sector, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Mr. Wassim Kouidri, and the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, Mr. Omar Rekkache.

In his address, the Minister unveiled an initiative aimed at facilitating the establishment of startup clusters within scientific and technological hubs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In this context, a joint decision was signed during the event between the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-Enterprises and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, providing for the creation of startup clusters within universities.

During this edition, 63 research products were showcased in fields of national priority, focusing on health security, energy security, and food security. The Minister, accompanied by the ministers present, conducted an inspection visit of the exhibition pavilions and reviewed the various innovative projects, receiving detailed explanations about them.

The Minister also stressed the need to encourage university professors and researchers to enter the world of entrepreneurship and to apply for the “Innovative Project” label, in order to ensure support for projects through to commercialization and to integrate an economic feasibility study when launching this type of research, with the aim of strengthening the contribution of our national expertise to the new knowledge-based economy.
