The Minister Participates in the 2025 National Traditional Crafts and Handicrafts Awards Ceremony
Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, participated in the 22nd edition of the 2025 National Traditional Crafts and Handicrafts Awards Ceremony, held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture in Algiers.
This edition saw seven (07) handcrafted products awarded out of 674 entries from across the country, spanning various craft specialties. Notably, this edition highlighted the achievements of entrepreneurs funded by the National Agency for Managing Microcredits (ANGEM), with two artisans recognized for their outstanding products: a traditional sword, a Takouta-style box crafted from copper and silver, and a horse saddle made from treated leather.
This recognition reflects the agency’s efforts in providing guidance and financing, particularly in the field of traditional crafts and handicrafts. It contributes to the valorization and preservation of national heritage, while also encouraging productive and distinguished entrepreneurial initiatives.
