Algeria Prepares to Host the African Startup Conference (ASC) 2025

Algeria is preparing to host the fourth edition of the African Startup Conference from December 6th to 8th, under the patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The event is expected to draw over 200 exhibitors and 150 investors from across the continent and beyond, along with approximately 25,000 visitors.

This prominent continental event reflects the President's vision of making Algeria a continental hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, and a center for nurturing the talents of African youth and empowering them to contribute effectively to the continent's economic growth. In this context, Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, confirmed during the preparatory press conference for the conference that this edition will be held under the theme "Supporting the Emergence of African Champions," emphasizing that it aims to consolidate the collective ambition to build an interconnected African system based on innovation and cooperation.

The conference will also feature an African ministerial summit bringing together more than 40 ministers, officials, and representatives of international technology organizations in a dedicated space for exchanging experiences and formulating ambitious policies that promote African economic and technological integration.

The Republic of Rwanda will be the guest of honor at this edition, in recognition of its pioneering experience in digital transformation and innovation. Algeria, through this prominent event, reaffirms its commitment to supporting South-South cooperation and developing joint projects in the fields of startups and innovation. The creation of the African Fund for Financing Startups and Innovative Youth, which was approved by the President of the Republic, is a strategic step towards enabling Algerian and African youth to transform their innovative ideas into successful projects that contribute to building a competitive and sustainable African economy.
