Cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age.
Mr. Nour Aldin Wadir, Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, participated on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism, in the third edition of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum organized by the Ministry of Youth under the theme: “The Challenges of National Innovation in Light of the Prospects for African Integration.”
The event included a high-level session on the topic of national challenges in promoting employment opportunities and their African dimensions. During his speech, the Minister stated that 2026 will be the year to begin evaluating the impact of the State’s efforts in developing entrepreneurship, which has experienced significant progress since 2020 until today. He also pointed out that Algerian youth can now launch their innovative projects or start their own businesses while still students, even before graduation.
The Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises took part in this high-level session alongside the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, the Minister of Youth in charge of the High Council for Youth, the Secretary of State for African Affairs, and a representative of the African Union.
The Minister also visited the “Startup Expo” exhibition organized on the sidelines of the event, where he observed innovative and micro projects led by young entrepreneurs from different regions of the country and listened to their concerns.
At the end of the event, a framework agreement was signed between the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, the Ministry of Youth, and the High Council for Youth. The agreement aims to leverage the role of youth in instilling the spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship among young people from an early age.
