Minister of Knowledge Economy Highlights the Role of Innovation in Enhancing Energy Efficiency during “Electricity Expo 2025”
Mr. Nour-Eddine Wadhah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Microenterprises, affirmed today, during his participation in the first edition of “Electricity Expo 2025,” that involving startups facilitates the transition toward a new model of energy consumption. He also highlighted the importance of integration between the public and private sectors to build a strong knowledge-based economy and stressed the role of innovation in mastering technology, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of energy sector companies in Algeria.
The official opening ceremony of the exhibition took place at the Exhibition Palace in Algiers, in the presence of Mr. Mourad Ajjal, Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy, alongside Mr. Yahia Bachir, Minister of Industry, and Mr. Omar Rekache, Director General of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion.
During the exhibition, the ministerial delegation reviewed the most prominent innovations and technological solutions on display and engaged with the exhibitors in technical discussions about the latest applications of artificial intelligence and digitalization in managing electrical networks.
"Electricity Expo 2025" marks the first edition hosted in Algeria and serves as an opportunity to network among the leading stakeholders in the energy sector, in line with the country’s objectives to transition toward a sustainable and integrated consumption model.
