Closing of the National Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, alongside Mr. Mostafa Heidawi, Minister of Youth in charge of the Supreme Youth Council, presided over the closing of the National Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship at the Martyr Abdelhafid Ihdaden Technological and Scientific Hub in Sidi Abdallah. The forum was organized by the Algeria Youth Forum, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the theme: “Youth Innovates… The Nation Thrives.”

In his speech, the Minister emphasized that artificial intelligence presents significant challenges, including the challenge of controlling this rapidly evolving technology and adapting to the changes it brings across various sectors. This requires us to adapt quickly, in addition to the challenge of developing content, software, and technological solutions that align with our culture, history, and national identity.

The Minister also expressed optimism and confidence in the future, highlighting the country’s capabilities as key factors in addressing these challenges, foremost among them being the youth – the most important component of Algerian society – along with scientific guidance from professors at higher education institutions and universities, our skilled professionals abroad, and startups. This reflects the growing synergy between academic education, youth, and the economic sector, aiming to foster a new generation of entrepreneurs dedicated to elevating Algeria to the ranks of countries leading in modern sciences and technologies.

The event brought together 1,000 young innovators, alongside an exhibition showcasing innovative projects and advanced youth initiatives, selected by a jury composed of professors, experts, and entrepreneurs.

During the event, the Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, together with the Minister of Youth in charge of the Supreme Youth Council, visited the exhibition halls where innovative exhibitors and entrepreneurs presented their projects. They engaged with them, listening to their concerns and aspirations to actively contribute to the knowledge-based economy.
