The Minister, speaking from Medea, affirmed the sector's commitment to giving special attention to local innovation in artificial intelligence.
Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, paid a working visit to the province of Medea on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
During the visit, the Minister inspected several innovative projects and startups and micro-enterprises. He also met with the university community and student project holders at Yahia Fares University in Medea, where he emphasized in his address that the dynamism Algeria is witnessing embodies a practical model for the desired economic transformation. He pointed out that the integration of efforts between sectors improves the effectiveness of public policies supporting entrepreneurship.
The Minister added that the various mechanisms established by the state to facilitate entrepreneurship are available online, explaining that work is underway to provide on-the-ground support to young people to help them achieve their goals and aspirations in actively participating in building a knowledge-based economy.
The Minister also highlighted the sector's commitment to supporting all innovative projects related to artificial intelligence, giving them significant importance, considering this field to have become an "indispensable strategic option." The Minister also visited the university's business incubator, where he reviewed student innovations and emphasized the importance of networking among entrepreneurs and improving support to increase the success rate.

In Medea: He inspected several businesses, including a sewing workshop funded by the ANGEM agency and an institution specializing in programming and robotics education, funded by the NASDA agency.
In Berrouaghia: He visited a small business specializing in application programming and network installation, which benefited from ANGEM funding.
In Zoubiria: He visited a very promising company specializing in the industrial production of tiles and public works components, which benefited from NASDA funding. The Minister stressed the need to provide expansion opportunities for such successful ventures.
