From Tizi Ouzou: Minister Nour Eddine Wadhah Calls on Youth to Contribute to Developing AI Solutions

As part of his field tour aimed at strengthening the knowledge-based economy and encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation among youth, Mr. Nour Eddine Wadhah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Microenterprises, visited the Wilaya of Tizi Ouzou, where he was received by the Wali of the region and representatives of local authorities.

The visit began with a meeting at the House of Culture within the framework of the "Young Idea" initiative, where the Minister emphasized that artificial intelligence has become an indispensable tool in daily work and a cornerstone of the new economy. He called on university students and experts to contribute to developing solutions based on open-source models, aligned with the society's culture and addressing the needs of both citizens and institutions.

He also recalled the initiatives launched by the Ministry since 2023 in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aiming to build an integrated national ecosystem in this promising field.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Minister toured an exhibition of handicraft beneficiaries of microcredit and presided over a consultative meeting with university students and self-employed entrepreneurs, during which opinions were exchanged on the state and prospects of entrepreneurship development.

The visit also included the Mouloud Mammeri University incubator, where the Minister met with project holders and reviewed presentations on initiatives to launch startups and microenterprises.

In this context, he stressed that the university represents a reservoir of energy, creativity, and innovation, and a source of technological solutions developed by young Algerian hands.

In the final stop of his visit, the Minister toured the microenterprise "KING EMBALLAGE" in the municipality of Azazga, specialized in paper recycling, and benefiting from support from the National Agency for the Support and Development of Entrepreneurship. The Minister praised the efforts made in this exemplary project.

At the conclusion of his visit, the Minister emphasized that the future of youth is in their own hands, and that the role of the state is to facilitate the path, not complicate it. He also noted that Algeria is steadily advancing towards the goal of reaching 20,000 startups that combine both quantity and quality.
